Jesse Jackson is a number one African-American political figure. He is the recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He announed his marketing campaign for Presidentship in 1984, but didn't get the required votes within the primaries. In a 2006 poll by AP-AOL, he was included in the list of a hundred Greatest African-Americans.
