The FLIK'r Switch is a self powered and wireless remote switch that also dims to control loads like lights, fans, and other appliances. No batteries needed. Conventional switches require significant wiring to connect to a device (i.e. lighting fixture). In addition one must also include the wiring necessary to bring electrical power to the lighting fixture itself. Both devices (switch and fixture) require a fixed permanent positioning as well as the cost of wire and the labor of doing the wiring.
